| The tree in this Ketubah is the family tree. It's actually made up of family members forming the roots, trunk and branches. The leaves symbolize the four seasons, starting from the left with winter, spring, summer then fall. Interspersed with the leaves are holiday and personal symbols. The two vertical lines to the right of the text represents this couples relationship. Their paths crossed many times throughout their lives until they finally met and became one, as these two lines do. The leaves floating in the water at the base of the tree contain images of ideas that are important to David and Yvette. | |
